AMEX after iib!

Hi all!

I'm SO excited to share that after 5.5 years of including AMEX in bankruptcy for the amount of almost $6,000 they let me back in today with the Hilton Honors credit card! Limit is only $2,000 but at least I'm back in! Even got my original membership date of 2013!

1.  Welcome to the forum.

2.  Congratulations on the approval, it's a good card.

3.  The SL doesn't matter, since Amex is so friendly towards soft pull CLI applications.

4.  Sorry to say that although the original membership date may appear on your card, it is not likely to show up in your credit report. I.e. it will almost undoubtedly appear as a new account, unless Amex has changed its policy again.

Congrats!

Did you do the soft pull pre-approval and get approved?   I always get denied immediately after 10 years but I think their loss was about $17K from me.

Yes, I did the pre-approval and it popped up the Hilton card only. I wanted the Gold but I'll take this one too 😅
