the site states that I have no offers, but I apped and got 2 Amexs in the same day.

Plenty of people receive no pre-qualified offers every day but still apply and get approved for a card.  That doesn't constitute "lies" on the part of the creditor.

You guys are taking this too seriously. I was just kidding...I was just proving a point, and to really advise people to not let certain credit things get them down.

Anyway, I think she meant to say she has 2 of those cards already, but I'll let her clarify.

You helped set me strait.  I always thought MJ was a man.  But after one of your recent posts, I know MJ is now a she.  I am sure she will appreciate me using the correct pronoun next time she comes after me with a stick for straying out of garden.  Smiley Tongue

It is not that we are taking this too seriously. With all due respect your post did not make sense since it had no explanation at all, just a title and a picture. People are trying to figure out what it was about.

I really don't understand why people don't understand my post. I put up a screenshot stating that I wasn't prequalifed for anything, but I apped anyway and now I have 2 AMEXs, so in essence, the site is "lying". It was my attempt to be funny, but failed miserably....

Don't feel bad... sometimes the true meaning of things can get lost in the typed text on the screen - it's happened to me before as well.  Smiley Wink

If you want, you can go back and edit your first post, and update the subject (perhaps add 'LOL' to the end) and it will begin to appear that way in the forum listing.  That way people who see it will know you mean 'lie' in jest.  Smiley Happy

Re: AMEX tells LIES!!!!!

OK, So this is what happened with OP-

1. OP tried prequal on amex site, and prequal could not come up with cards which OP apped later and got approved.

(OP was a not Amex member until this point).

2. Later OP, apped two cards ( I believe revolving credit cards) and apps went successfully!

3. Just for Friday fun OP started a thread, but most of us got into serious business with it Smiley Very Happy

Cheer up guys!!!
