After reading all the information in the Anniston Tidal Wave (thanks @PullingMeSoftly !), I wanted to add my own approval from today.
I applied for the AOD Visa Signature card and selected the full $25K credit line. I applied on 09/07/2021 and was approved for membership on 09/09/2021 and was finally approved for the card today, 09/13/2021, but with a $5K credit line at the lowest 7.49% APR. My EQ5 score is 760 and I have very low DTI and only 9% utilization. I am 2/6 2/12 5/24. I joined NEABA to allow me to join AOD. More details are below.
These are the documents I needed to provide:
After providing this information, I was sent an email telling me my membership was approved and to call in and provide my initial $25 membership deposit. I called in and provided $50 using my BofA debit card.
I received an email today from the person I had worked with on my membership that:
"Due to 5 new accounts in the past 24 months, underwriting has counter offered $5000.00 sign visa to start the relationship. Would you like to start with this limit?"
I am a little disappointed to start at $5K but I'm happy to be approved at the lowest 7.49% APR. I will look forward to a CLI in the future! Thanks for all the guidance here in the forum.
Congrats on your approval! 🎉
Congrats on the approval!

These are the documents I needed to provide:
- Front and Back of Driver's License
- Front of Social Security Card
- Proof of Residence (I sent a picture of the envelope of a Chase credit card statement that showed my address)
- Proof of Income (I provided last paystub and my W-2)
- "Selfie" (I wrote AOD FCU on my iPad Pro and held it up next to my face and took a selfie)
- Proof of Membership Eligibility (I uploaded the PDF of my membership card for NEABA)
After providing this information, I was sent an email telling me my membership was approved and to call in and provide my initial $25 membership deposit. I called in and provided $50 using my BofA debit card.

Excellent.
Great write up. I would gladly have accepted this counter myself.
That’s terrific! Glad you were able to get your foot in the door with AOD!! Congratulations on your approval!! 👏🏼🎉🍾
This is great, congrats @Alephbet! Way to to keep the NEABA pedals turnin'! Thanks for providing your DP's, that was well worth the effort. 5k is a solid SL, and you can also spend an EQ pull later on for a cli if you want (but build your relationship first for at least 6 mo to a year).

Congrats and thank you for the DP's!
I wonder what level of grilling I will get when I apply. My EQ cleans up no later than 10/1/21 and that has been my first move after that happens. I also have several accounts that will be 6 months old or so. On the plus side, I do have a DTI of $0 if not counting the DW's income and mortgage debt and a quite significant chunk of change in their Kasasa Checking and Savings accounts.
