I thought I was going to be in the garden most of this year. I should have known >.<

Signed up for a local credit union and decided to give one of their cc's a shot. It's a 5% card that allows you to pick 2 catagories, one catagory that gets 2%, and everything else 1%. Low hanging fruit SUB of $150/$500. It'll become my card for utilities primarily when I'm not chasing other subs. It's a card that's issued through Elan so I assume it's a similar card around the country just with different names and logos depending on the institution. SL of $20k.

It had been about an hour between when I finalized my membership paperwork and I applied. So it was all the same day. I had a HP for membership and then a separate pull for the CC because the CC is through Elan, but I can use the original pull for other products. I'm gonna look at doing a personal loan to help consolidate some things.

Congrats! This card has been the subject of much attention around here in the month or so since it came out, but we haven't seen very many apps, so your DP is helpful and appreciated.

Would you mind sharing how many new cards you had in the prior 6 and 12 months?

And chin up, there are still 342 days left in 2021, so you still can garden for the vast majority of the year.
