Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

What is the $500 bonus offer for? The Allliant CC? When is that expected?

Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

Congrats OP. I'm in the same boat with all my 0%s running out. I need to find cards like Slate that offer no fees and at least 12 months 0% APR.

Eligible Alliant members are sent preapprovals for 50k points sign up bonus on their Rewards Visa which is equivalent to $500. They send these out periodically.

Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

So, I need to sign up now eh?

<Starting the sign up process>

Is the checkings account a SP as well? Who do they pull (SP) for account opening? Is there pre approvals based on the report pulled at joining? Or do they periodicly pull (account review) to updates their pre approvals? I'd like to sign up now but would rather wait until a couple accounts update as I've paid them off and should be 10-20 point FICO boost? Any idea what score there looking for CC approval? Are both the cards the same underwriting? I just need a 0% BT card like Slate. Thanks in advance.

Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

I applied for the Visa immediately after I signed up, so I can't say whether they did the HP for the checking/savings, and just used that for the CC, or if they do a SP for the checking/savings, then the HP after I applied for the CC.

Others might have better data points.

Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

Did they call you to verify info or question your report before approval?

the last step on the app says someone will call to complete the app

Re: Alliant CU and Platinum Visa

I just joined Alliant this past Sunday mainly for their 1% yield on savings/checking to park my emergency funds. Approved instantly with just 1 SP from EQ. I don't need/want another CC but might pull the trigger if 50K point comes my way. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Exactly why I joined to park my emergency fund. Love their huge $50k mobile deposit and $25K ACH daily limits. Super fast processing. Awesome CU. Smiley Happy
