After getting my TU report cleaned up and reducing my utilization, my TU score rose to 697. I was very happy about this, so I applied for two cards today, with wildly different results. I applied first for the PayPal 2% Mastercard, and was approved for a $300 card. I was pretty sure I would get approved for that one, based on the experiences of the community. However, I decided to apply for the Alliant Platinum Rewards as well. I didn't mind wasting an inquiry on it, and I am glad I did. I was approved for a $5,000 credit line at 17.99%!
Date points: I had 10 inquiries, 27% utilization, score they cited was 688, a few new accounts, 2 paid charge-offs from 2017, and my average age of accounts is about 2.5 years.
Congrats on your approvals.
Congrats!
I've heard Alliant is a hard nut to crack, so Congrats! R&B. You cracked it. ![]()
