AmEx CLI After 90 Days Data Point

The title basically explains it all.

I've seen several posts citing a 6-month/6-statement/180-day wait period that is necessary between CLI approvals.

I opened my AmEx BCE August 23 with a $2,000 SL, requested and received my first 3x CLI to $6,000 102 days later on December 3, and requested a CLI to $19,000 96 days later on March 8, which was partially approved in the amount of $18,000, another 3x.

I just wanted to contribute the data point, in case it would help or interest anyone. I did not place this in approvals just because I was not posting looking for congratulations, but rather just contributing a DP. If the mods deem it better to be moved there, though, I have no objections.

ETA: on second thought, this would be more appropriate in approvals. Please, mods, move this for me. Thanks. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: AmEx CLI After 90 Days Data Point

Thanks for the dp's and great card growth for you as well. While I can't get any Amex cli's since a lot of my spend has gone elsewhere past year plus, I did have similar luck as you once in obtaining a consecutive cli sooner than the typical 181  days.

Have you tried to get them and been denied? I would recommend not giving up on it if that's what you want. I only have put a few hundred dollars of spend through the AmEx as I had multiple SUB's to hit. The worst that can happen is a denial. I say go for it if you haven't, and keep going for it if you have.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats and positivity.

Oh, I've been trying but I know that my overall Amex spent went down considersbly last year bc I put a lot on Chase and BoA so that's when I started getting the denial reason code of not enough spend relative to the credit limit. It's true and I can't deny it. I'm gonna probably use the Reserve more this year to use up these new credits with Uber and stuff.
