Not as exciting as an actual CLI that doesn't use my own money as collateral, but this does make the card much more usable!
When I initially applied for my Amazon Prime Secured card, I was approved to make a deposit up to $750.00. I stupidly only put $100.00 down and never made any additional deposits prior to activating the card. After realizing my mistake, I tried to chat with Synch about putting down more money, but it was no dice.
Fast forward to present-- I was poking around Amazon tonight and in my card management area, there was a banner about making an additional deposit and increasing my credit limit. After reading all of the instructions, I decided to go for it.
I put my income in, the system did its thinking for a bit, and then it came back saying that I could make an additional deposit of up to $650.00 (which would bring my limit up to the original $750.00 that I was approved for). Transferred the money into my checking account and sent over my additional $650.00 deposit. I do shop at Amazon a fair amount, so this was very much worth it to me!
Congrats on building your Amazon Prime Secured Card limit!
Keep up the good work! Congrats!
congrats on the approval
Congrats on your additional Credit!
Congratulations on your Amazon CLI!
@laurenjessica I made the same mistake at discover after a few months I was like I can't take this anymore!!!
Secured cards are interesting to me, it really makes you consider how much credit you actually need, and how large of an interest free loan you are willing to give a multibillion dollar company to get it.
Congrats on the limit increase, and possible speedy graduation to unsecured.
