No surprises here. Mine arrived today and it's paper like everyone said. I just hope the non Discover WalMart Store Card is actually plastic.

That's a different card than the store brand card everyone on this thread is talking about. There are two Amazon cards - one backed by chase and the other backed by GE. The one from chase you can use like a regular visa. The GE "card" can only be used on amazon.
Just a piece of paper that I keep losing and then having to fight with customer service to give me the number of the card so I can use it. Now that I have the chase Amazon card with triple points for Amazon purchases, it just seems pointless to have it.

I got mine back in August and the CL has been stuck at $700 since then. I'm not sure I'd get the CC again. Yes, it's just a paper card, but since you'll never have to physically present it any place, I don't really find that problematic. I think it's good for special financing offers or if you need it as part of your overal UTIL strategy. Other than that, I don't really think it's worth it.
I opened mine on 6/13 at 700 still same limit (same with my wally too at 400 since opening 7/13). always denied by auto and 1 time with credit solution.

I am canceling mine at 1 yr mark if I dont see no increase on my amazon card.
I will keep wally, since its going to get MC logo this fall....
I first got it in 2008 I think - with like a $750 CL - It is now at $5,000, having survived the credit crunch CLD and all. I shop on Amazon several times a month, so that card got heavy usage for the first 5 years I had it. Now that I have more bank cards that are listed on my Amazon account that still have 0% interests, I do not use the Store Card as much as I used to - but I cannot imagine getting rid of it. The fact that I can use my Discover rewards and rewards from other cards to make purchases, also causes me not to use it as much. But I stil put $50 or so on it a month. It, as well as my other GE accounts have been essential in my rebuilding - rising to $5,000 CL before my bank cards did.
The interest rate is high - but that is typical of store cards. I have NEVER had any problem with this card - although GE will sign you up for purchase protection services without your knowledge - so you have to watch that. Other than that - pay your bill early to avoid any glitches - enjoy your card - and be happy that you have a card that WILL grow with you.
Congratulations - I think you will like it - and yes, I have a physical plastic card -
I have a decent portfolio now, but I may get one soon for the 24 month financing deal.. hopefully the CL is reasonable!
I got mine in February for $1400 and was automatically increased to $1700 this month.
I haven't had an issue with it yet and certainly not with sending payments in early. It was one of the credit accounts I always wanted to have and I really like it so far and in general with GE I tend to PIF.

I don't intend on closing mine, but I may SD it after the next statement if I don't get a CLI. Maybe I just don't use enough of the CL for Amazon's liking (I think my high balance was $81 on a $700 CL). It'd be very useful for special financing, but there's no rewards for using it. I'd really be better off at this point just using my QS1 or even my BCE at Amazon. Eventually, I'd like to get a Sallie Mae for Amazon use. It would actually be better than the Chase Amazon (5% with Sallie and 3% with Chase).
