Ok, I know I didn't need this card, it has minimal long-term benefits to me (my wife already has one) other than having a large limit and increasing cards that are in my name (BB&T & REDcard are the only others). However, my wife got a $100 referral bonus and I get $200/1000 bonus. It also gets rid of the taste of that $2k offer from AOD when I wanted the signature card (it felt like a denial). I guess it will also have very long-term benefit because new cards down the line will have less effect my AAoC. Is it clear I'm trying to rationalize the impulse application?
This is one of my highest limits (excluding AU card of my Dad's- yeah, I'm 31 and on most of his accounts because I do a lot of shopping for him and it boosts my score, mine is around 780-800, his is 820+). Other than $11k from BB&T, this is by far our highest limit.
EDIT: $10k inital, CLI before I even got the card to $20k
I can't wait to get the paperwork and find out for sure what my SL is. It says $10k available, but so did my Dad's and he had a $12,500 limit.
Despite two AU cards and a closed Clear card, they did do an Experian hard pull (I figured this was a coin flip), which made my Experian FICO8 go UP 10 points???
I'm going back into the garden, I swear!....👨🏽🌾🍁🍂🍃
(and locking my credit reports to make it just a little harder to impulse apply)
Congratulations!
