American express credit limit increase approved

Well **bleep**! I just hit the Luv Button to double my credit limit. (Yes I know I should have gone hard and asked for 3x)  They insta approved!  I knew they were in a good lending mood when they kept trying to shove the Platinum on me. I'm just too scary to travel right now though.  Hotel perks and airplane perks are meaningless. I'm staying away from crowds for another year.  If I can avoid disaster, I will!

Good grief, I just went back to close the window and now they're offering the Gold card.  Clearly I should have asked for a 3x. Ah well, there's always 190 days from now.

Congrats! And it's definitely 6 Months (180 Days) for AmEx before you can ask again on that card or anyother AX Credit card (if you have more than one) as per hard AX Rules.

Thank you @bigseegar . I was fuzzy on how they do things.  Do you think I should have asked for 3x? Is it always wise to go for 3x?  I just didn't want an embarrassing insta-decline.

Yes nothing wrong with asking for the 3X CLI worst case is they counter offer with 2X. I would take either or, but im going to ask for the 3X for the extra cushion.
