Amex BCP approval after BK 13

Just thought I'd add a data point for everyone. I have a chapter 13 bankruptcy filed 5 years ago (filed, not discharged). I have been checking on the Amex prequal site pretty much daily for months and never got a prequal until the 1st of the month on the month after the 5 year anniversary of my filing chapter 13. I was prequal'ed for the gold and the new delta, so I figured I'd try for the one card I really wanted (the BCP) and got the instant approval for 5k. Just to add more data points, Amex was NOT included in the chapter 13, but I DID have them included in a chapter 7 way back in the early 2000's (yes, 2 bankruptcies, don't judge...life happens. Much better now, though)

Can't wait to use my shiny new blue card.... 3 kids makes 6% back on groceries fantastic!

Congrats OP and great work!! I have 2 years left on my 13 and I've never had AMEX so I'll be looking to apply for them 1 month after my 5 year anniversary. Keep up the good work!!
