Amex Delta Gold Skymiles

I've apped for this card 3-4 times. I figured since I've had two Amex cards for a few months now I might as well throw in another app for the gold skymiles. Detroit is a Delta hub so we fly Delta most of the time, so the card has always made sense to me (the $95 fee is offset with two trips with the free bags)...

I got the 14-day wait for a response message, decided to call to recon this morning and she pushed it through and I was approved. I also haven't seen a hard pull show up yet? So maybe I got lucky and they SP'ed me since I applied while logged in to my existing Amex account.

Anyway, this is the card I've wanted for a long time and 3 apps over a year I am happy to throw this one in my wallet. 

$1k starting line which seems low but she said to call when I activate it and they should CLI me. Approved with a 671 EX (I assume they used this since they always pull EX).

Good deal! I got the Delta Gold 3 years ago with a $1,500.00 initial credit limit. Three years later and I am up to 30K so it should grow quickly for you. I also upgraded to the Platinum for the yearly voucher which offsets the anual fee as well.

congrats OP!  go open an inprivate window and search prg 50k. Its a charge card that must be paid in full monthly. It will combine with the same experian inquiry, or just be a SP if denied.  AF of 195 is waived the first year. 

Then you can transfer the 50k MR points to delta for a total of $100, then get 2 $50 delta egift cards now, then 2 more after Jan1, for a total of 250 in delta egift cards and 100k delta miles!

Keep going! I have apped for this 3 or 4 times in the past year and a half or so. Finally got in! I was given the Amex Green + BCE revolver in August and I think establishing a positive history directly with Amex helped me out, my score has not changed significanlty since the last time I apped in July, so I think the history helped. Call and ask for a manual review if you're denied and an existing Amex customer.
