I know i just joined, and i've posted three approvals in a week. But, i'm done. I've got my card base after rebuilding my credit, and i won't apply for another card for at least 6 months, if at all. I'm looking to build a house next year so i figure by the time the house is built, 12 months will be past from this month before i have to apply for a mortgage.
Also, i really wanted to apply for an all around card to replace my Credit One card that i'm going to close next month. And this Amex will set me up nicely for an Amex Platinum if i decide to pull the trigger down the road.
I was worried that they would deny me, seeing me as risky for applying for so many cards so quickly together. However, i filled out their pre-qualification and they offered me double the membership points than their standard website offer. So, i figured what the heck. Filled out an application, and Approved for $1k SL!
I had a bad experience with Amex 11-12 years ago and left them with a grudge at the beginning of the recession. However I've been wanting to get back with them and I've been reading on here how Amex wants to give you a chance then will offer CLI's pretty quickly. So, with all my recent CC requests this past week i'm not upset about a $1k SL. I know it'll grow.
And, I now have my card base that i plan to grow and keep for many years to come. Exciting times!
After 3 credit inquiries, i'm sure my scores have taken a hit. But Credit Karma put me 750+ for both bureau's and Experian has me above 750 as well. We'll see what my scores are when the dust settles, but they'll be back soon enough and i won't need any more inquiries for a long time now.

Thanks! Hopefully building won't be a hassle, as i've heard from others that it can be. However, it's hard to find a 2600sqft and below single story home, with 3 car garage. I don't want or need a "large house", but a 3 car garage minimum is non negotiable. Told my fiance, and she said, "as long as i get my closet". lol. So that and the master bath, she gets whatever she wants.
I'm definitely looking forward to getting this Amex. I've heard people get a 3x CLI before they even recieve it, so i'm debating on calling them today or tomorrow to ask. I would definitely like the limit to be above $1k asap. Would be easier to spend the $2k to get my bonus points, but i can of course wait for the increase if need be.

Pro Tip: Soon you'll get an email to stup your online account (before you've even received the card). Once you do this, and the card in your account, you can request a 3x CLI. It's worth a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.
