Following the news of Marriott's partnership with MGM, coupled with some limited-time enhanced SUBs on Marriott co-branded cards, I figured now was a good time to plunge into world of hotel credit cards. While the $650 AF is high, I can easily use the annual benefits ($300 dining credits and one free night valued up to 85K points) that effectively offset the AF.
Amex gave me a very nice SL on the card and it was a SP approval. I was pleasantly surprised that they did NOT cannabalize my BCP for the approval since they recently stopped giving me CLIs on it without providing bank account access or statements, so I thought my TCL with Amex was maxed out for the time being.
Shout out to @Aim_High for his guidance on the Marriott ecosystem and encouraging me to go for the Bonvoy Brillant card.

Congrats on that approval!
Very nice SL and approval, congratulations!
Nice! And envious because I canceled a card to make room for this one but I'm still in PUJ.

That is an awesome approval. I'm hoping for a nice Marriott/Amex one day
Congratulations on an awesome AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant approval, @DJRobbieD!
And extra congrats for snagging that super-sweet 200K SUB! I'm jelly!
I'm glad I was able to help steer you and give you some good suggestions.
Hmmmm ... let's see. If you can manage to get 3x CLI on that limit ... $75K?
A man can hope.
Congrats on your AMEX Marriott approval and nice SL!
