Applied for the Platinum and got approved. I am the true testimony of YMMV. My utilization is like 80% and my scores are 694, 677, and 693 lol. Yea, I've been a bad boy lol It's cool though...I'll be back to 800 in a year or less. I've been a long time member of American Express. I have the PRG and the BCP. The annual fees are free for me: Active Duty Military. So, why not apply for the Platinum...the perks are nice. Plus, being in the military...I travel a lot. Currently overseas for a few years, so definately going to take advantage of the no transaction fee on the Platinum. Don't know if I got approved because it's a charge card and i have to pay in full...or if they love me and my account has always been in good standing. Maybe both. Anywho, there you have it. I'm a new Platinum member. I also figured what I have to lose...if I got denied, I would just apply again in a year when I'm back in the 800s.
My card collection is complete. I'm done.
Amex Collection: Platinum, PRG, BCP, Hilton Honors(never use it though, transfered credit line from it)
Chase Collection: Marriott, Sapphire Preferred, Freedom
Discover: Discover it
Congrats and thanks for your service!!

Thanks ty. That's Chase. Chase will only do it if you had them prior to entering service. American Express waives regardless. They all honor the SCRA, but Amex goes behond that and waives all their AFs for active duty.
