Friends,
Thanks for your earlier advice not to use my US Bank PLOC for everything.
As of this morning, here is the credit I have:
US Bank Cash+ Card ($11,700 CL)
US Bank Platinum Card ($12,900 CL)
US Bank PLOC, Personal Line Plus ($12,000 CL)
and
Amex Platinum Card (NPSL) (as of this morning).
A bit of background. I did Dave Ramsey about three years ago and paid off my house. This also means, unfortunately, that I closed all my cards at that time. And that my oldest open account is about two years old.
I pay everything off in full every month, and I applied and was accepted for the Amex this morning bc I was mad that USB's website was down again. (It had helped me to centralize everything there). I have previously had various Amex cards, including the Plat.
Scores are 776 EQ/791 TU/758 EX as of this morning.
How am I doing?
P
Branching away from just one lender is a plus in my eyes

thank you
Grats on the Amex approval ![]()
So far so good, I would branch out to a few CUs now, they are not as skittish as the big banks.
Congratulations on your Amex Platinum approval! It's nice to have cards from different lenders.
Can you recommend some good CUs?
Most helpful to me would be credit unions that allow me to do a no fee cash advance from an ATM. (I understand that I must pay this off in full every month, and would plan to do so). I've had PenFed in the past, not sure if I still have a member account with them or not. How do I check?
Are other credit unions better?
Looking to avoid ATM fees.

Give em a call and see if you are still a member, if you are not you can rejoin. NFCU, DCU, SDFCU, Boeing CU are some good ones that are typically in favor on these boards, you can also check with your local CUs to see what they have available. Not sure you can avoid ATM fees if you take out cash but there typically is no cash advance fee assessed by the CU.
Congrats on the approval!
Congrats on your Platinum approval!! 👏🏻
