I'm 5 years and 1 month from my Chapter 7 BR discharge. I've never had an Amex and have heard that they will often approve 5 years out of BR. I tried the prequal link and had no offers and then tried it again after about 30 seconds and received the Amex Platinum pre-approval! I went for it and was instantly approved with the 125 k points welcome offer. I'm so excited!
I also hit the Capital One prequal site and was offered a choice between the Savor One for Good Credit and the Quicksilver One for Good Credit and was instantly approved for Savor.
I have a Venmo Visa with a 4 k limit, another Cap One with a 2300 limit, a few other Synchrony decent limit cards and quite a few I'll now be moving to the sock drawer. I can't wait to use all those points for some travel!
