Decided to bite on the 25k SPG offer recently when the new bonus offering was just free nights and not extra points. Approved at a somewhat surprising $10.4k, especially considering my Hilton is only $2k. Not sure if I will keep the SPG long-term. It earns Alaska miles faster than Alaska's card, but no companion pass to go with it. Will re-assess when the AF comes due, especially if there are any other new changes with the Marriott/SPG marriage.
Got a very big surprise email from Discover this morning. I've hit the CLI button so many times to no avail, but out of the blue, without hitting the luv button or anything, they gave me an auto CLI of $2.5k, taking me from $8,300 to $10,800. Hooray!
