First @benreily, Congrats on the CLI…second, @gdale6 is correct, I just reallocated AmEx cards. Sans a burn, login to your account and see what you're prequalified for and what buffet card fits your taste. Then if your scores merit a new card hit the “SUBMIT”, go make yourself a tasty beverage and return to contemplate your next move! I'm not inviting you to make rash decisions…but, if there is merit and your scores support a new card or a fatter CLI, then pull the trigger. Know what works for you and the path that you have set for yourself!

Good luck my friend!!!

Thank you for the suggestion. I am getting this message from them:

"Apply for the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card and you can earn unlimited 6X Hilton Honors Bonus Points at U.S. restaurants and 6X Bonus Points at U.S. supermarkets, so you can have your favorite dish delivered and shop for essential household items. Terms apply. Apply Now"

They are offering me the Hilton card. However, I know that I am not getting any HP from it but I am not sure what I need Hilton card for though. What is the rule of having amex cards. Limit to 3 credit cards and 3 Charged cards? On file Amex score is EX 764. Currently is 772 but they are going with their on file score, something I learned. Lol Buffet. I am trying to get my all my scores up to 800 next month if possible. Thank you all for the words, insights and tips.

The Hilton Honors Surpass Card had a nice SUB, so I pulled the trigger 12/20. I travel a lot, so it made sense for me. The BP’s are incentive and if you travel for business or just like to travel then this is a card to consider

NOT to hijack, but to consolidate I have a related question for someone, please:   Among other places I've seen this note,  K-In-Boston said this above in the thread:

Amex looks at all cards you have with them when making these decisions; they don't exist in a vacuum individually.

Does this also include AU accounts?   I'm an AU on my wife's card.  Our total limit is lousy, (less than 4K between us.  2 cards, so it shouldn't matter.)

I just got more than that from an un-initated CLI with another bank...   but my AmEx card(s) won't grow!

2021 goals:
1) GARDEN until I app for Mortgage.
2) Pay Down overall revolving debt aggressively and accountably, to under 30%, including my HELOC.
3) Don't waste the gifted 0% time on the student loans.
4) Ultimately, refi the house at non-usury terms.
