So for the double dip to work do you have to not accept the in app increase?

No that's not exactly how it works and I understand this may have been a little confusing. You should either first accept on the app or website and then call in for an increase (this is how I double dipped in March 2020) or you should call them directly and ask for the max (what I did on January 1, 2021). I did not decline the offer or accept the $500 CLI offer FYI, I let the offer sit on my screen, continued the process over the phone with a Disco CLI Specialist and rather than just accepting a $500 CLI and then calling in, she was able to max it out while we were on the phone and I just exited the tab without any issues.

Congratulation on CLI....Good job...Were you showing enough actions on the account before requesting CLI?

Thank you! Great question. My statement ended on the 23rd with a $4 balance which I paid on the 27th, zeroing my account off. I had a purchase on my card for $10.30 and that is the only balance on my account. Previously, I had spent almost $500 in my last statement. Before that I had spent over $24,000 in 2020 on my Discover card during the first year card back match. I made a post about this when I got my January CLI.

The DD is a total YMMV situation. Not accepting/accepting in the app should have no bearing or not. It would seem that the CSR processes the entire request when doing it this way, rather than you processing part of the request, and then the CSR giving you the rest of the increase you would have left on the table had you not called in. I have had it go both ways for me personally.

Congrats on the Disco luv, OP!

Thank you! I should have read down the comments before I responded.. You explained this better than I did!

Thank you. I actually went ahead and applied and getting $1500 cli just now after reading your post. Slightly more than 2 months ago I was given $2000.

Congrats on your CLI! Hopefully you were able to double dip up to the max.

I am hoping so. Maybe once some inquiries are gone and I am getting a better Fico 8 scores that might help a lot more.
