Yeah they told me before that they can use a HP for 30 days.
@linux007969 wrote:Does anyone think i should recon this by calling 866-865-7839? If so does anyone know their hours that their open.... I first called them after 8pm EST last night and got the recording that their office is closed, so that's why i called the other number in my above post.
What do some of you think i should do? Should i forget the whole thing and wait 6 months and try then?
If you don't mind me asking, what is your income a year? And Careful reconning BofA as they would pull another HP occasionally especially if a senior credit analyst decides to review a previous recon. Usually they don't pull twice as they keep the current one on file for 30 days but it's a YMMV thing.
And to answer your question, I would just wait as you're building good history and you don't want to risk another INQ (especially considering you have too many in 12 months)
@lg8302ch wrote:Good luck....what is the reason for denial? BofA is usually very generous with their CL...not like Discover
...looks that for you it is the other way around
If you just do an HP CLI Request with them, I'm sure your CL will rise. Discover has been generous with me so far.

I will do it in November at the 2yr mark...I rather use another TU pull for Barclays Sallie Mae in June...if denied I will hit the cli button with Discover..
...since Discover will not lower my APR (18,99%) it shows me that a HP cli might even be declined![]()

My income is about $12,958 and also normally when i went for an increase with them they allowed me to include my checking account even though its with PNC, but the rude credit rep was like "that money in there is from your employer right?"
I hope working with the EO they can see it differently, maybe when the credit specialist calls me maybe i can ask to pull a different file like EQ or EX maybe that would help. My Transunion is know for having alot of inquaries cuz everyone wants to pull it, it seems.
Wow...12K income and 7K CL from Discover...I am puzzled
. I would work on income before working on CLIs....if you have assets then consider a secured card with 10K but with a 12K income I do not see much of a chance to get a high CL from any lender.
Yesterday I reconned for a CLI from $900 to $10,000. She was able to give me $5000. I had called (866) 811-4108. She was average, she did have a nice attitude but you could tell she was being like 'here we go again with another customer'. They had asked me for everthing as far as job, how long have i been there, how long do i plan on being there, what is my position, what part of my income is from job, what is my other income from. It took a good long while, eventually she came back with the $5000 offer.

Yes! When i got the card in November 2012 they approved me for 1K with 0% interest till January 2014, so I took major advantage and use it heavily and paid it down and charged it up in a strategic mannor, and they increased my line a few times to what it is now, based on my good history with my credit and my good relationship with them. I have had no problem sweet talking the credit reps at Discover it seems! ![]()
My BofA Cash Rewards card started out on as a $300 secured card.
I currently live at home with my parents and do not drive yet, so most years my expences are low so i have saved up a bit but not 10k, just enough for about an 8 month emergancy fund as suze orman says we shuld all have.... LOL.... depending on expences i may even have enough for a year.
I also am looking into starting a Roth IRA and may go with Merrill Lynch and dump my cash rewards and balance rewards into it and i told the EO rep this to kind of sweet talk her... lol. ![]()

I think I need to take lessons from you in sweet talk with Discover
...simply cannot get anywhere with them . Heavy use 60-70% util and PIF did not get me anywhere so far and I have the card now for 15 months...same toy limit....oh well I will give them until I hit the 2 yr mark and then it goes SD.

Have you tried Discover's EO? I've never dealt with them, but maybe if they deny a CLI request the EO could help. ![]()
