I hadn't applied for a new card in several years, then ended up applying for 3 in as many days! I was so excited to get approved for all of them! First, here's a bit about me, then I'll go over the approvals.
I'm early thirties, $65k self-employed, 3 existing cards plus 1 store card, no debt, no baddies, low utilization, 0 HPs in the past 6 months, 2 HPs in the past 12 months (both were for auto loans that I didn't take).
CreditKarma FAKO at time of apps: 804 TU, 804 EQ
FICO 8 checked after approvals: 763 EX, 789 TU
Apps & Approvals:
Uber Visa: Received the 10 day message presumably because I haven't applied for a card in years. I called the next day and was approved right away. $12k SL Visa Signature at the lowest APR of 17.24%. Barclays pulled TU. I have no other Barclays cards.
Citi Double Cash: They called me to verify info and approved me for $5.3K SL World Elite MasterCard at the lowest APR of 15.74%. Citi pulled Experian. I have no other Citi cards.
Chase Ink Business Cash: Instant approval with $19K SL Visa Signature at the lowest APR of 15.49%. Chase pulled Experian and Equifax. I also have one personal Chase card, Chase Freedom.
CLIs:
After the spree, I noticed that BoA had not been giving me automatic CLIs at the rate I would've expected. My oldest card (Platinum Plus) from 2007 was sitting at a $3k limit, and my BoA Cash Rewards card from 2011 had $8k. Since BoA does soft pulls, I requested an increase on each via the website. For the Platinum, I requested $10k and got $7k! Pretty stoked to have more than doubled that one. For the Cash Rewards, I requested $15k and that's what they gave me!
I'll be interested to see how my score ends up being affected by the change in AAoA now.
