I went on a spree myself today. needed to get my utilization down and limits up.
Municiapl credit union visa 5500cl- new account
Discover IT Card 11500cl - new account
Macys store card CLI of 1800 to get to 2000
Applied for a FNBO card but as always they tell you wait 2-4 weeks.
Amex 1800 CL 0 balance...denied
GE amazon 2k CL 0 balance...denied
All in all, a good day with almost 19k in approvals. Now, to the app spree veterans...any idea what retribution my credit score is going to deal with? I am guessing the limit increases help but the 4-5 inquiries will 'destroy' me. and speaking of inquiris, do inquiries hit you reports immediately? if so, FBNO is bound to give me the middle finger as I hear they dont take lightly to multiple inquirie in a short period.
Weirdly enough, I checked my scores before going on my appspree , All three FICO scores were in 700+ range, utilization under 10%. But MCU said my equifax was 678 even though i have a subscription on myfico which said my score was 706!!!
For others who want to apply for new cards, just to give you a sense of my credit profile....have an old collection from 2012 (helped a friend cosign for an apartment, lesson learnt...a 9k lesson my wife nearly killed me for even though when i co signed, i didnt even know my wif......but it came due after we got married and lender wouldnt approve my home loan if I didnt pay of that collection). Also have a lien from NY State for 138 dollar (yup, you read it right, even though i never got any letter for them. Just pisses me off to no end...all for 138 dollars. Thankfully it falls off credit report in January 2015) have a late 30-60-90 late from capital one in 2010, but that card has been paid off. Was laid off for a bit. Citi, discover, and amex were nice and worked with me..Cap1 had no mercy and gave me the lates on my account and closed it to boot but card has been paid off and as far as i am concerned, cap1 aint getting my business anywhere, anytime....So been working to get my scores up and this is where I am now. Goal is to get to mid 700 in the short term and 800 in the long term...... PHEW!!! Now let me go lie down and do some gardening.... its going to be a year+ before I look to apply for any new credit. Lets see where my score is by then..... Another question...are credit scores static or dynamic? Meaning for every pull, do lenders recalculate your score, or its static until new balances are reported?

FNBO normally takes 24 hours but since you appled on the weekend expect results on Monday
Also I'll ask that your post be broken off into its own thread and moved to approvals so other can say congrats they may not see it on someone elses post
Every HP affects scores also

Yes, there's that but of remorse, but congrats!
yes, but this is a one time weekend spree....like those wicked weekends spent during spring dreak during my college..![]()
In any case, enough to get me started on my limits to get me toward my long term score.
Quick question, can anyone teach me how to show the card accounts and their limits in full color? seen that with a few profiles and cant quite figure that out. And do i put my credit score update numbers/targets within my signature? I consider myself tech savvy but apparently.....
Congrats!
