Apple CLI LOLZ

The purse strings must really be tightening.  Alright, 4 months since opening and I requested a CLI today.  I got it......went from $6,000 to $6,500.  I can't stop laughing.....better than a kick in the mouth I guess....

Re: Apple CLI LOLZ

After all the good increases I see on this board when people request, I just thought it was funny, especially given my scores and the fact that they are 50 points higher than they were 4 months ago due to my BK13 falling off.  They must have remembered that it was reporting when I was approved or something.

Re: Apple CLI LOLZ

How much have you spent on the Apple card if only about a few hundred a month then that is about right increase.  Read up on their CLI policy and spending as many people well into the 800's with hefty incomes don't get CLI or get 500 as you did due to small use.  Now if you been putting several K a month through then I would expect more, but is that the case?  I cancelled my card awhile ago as was stuck at 8500 and really was a novelty card and got one CLI throughout my relationship with GS.  Honestly i spent maybe 150 on my biggest month so what incentive did they have to give me a CLI.  Just putting it into perspective.   They have always been stingy with their purse string unless as mentioned alot of spend then you see the big increases

Right off the bat, I put over 2K on it with the purchase of a Mac.  That is promotional over 12 months, so 4 months of payment on that.  Otherwise, just a few purchases a month that I PIF so I don't get charged any interest.  Gas or fast food or something.

Re: Apple CLI LOLZ

Congrats on the CLI! $500 is still $500. Smiley Happy)

Lots of great posts on MF re: CLI datapoints. If I may ask, how much of your $6,000 limit did you spend in the four months preceding the request. Consensus on MF seems to be 25-35% in order to receive a chunky CLI.

See above for the answer to your question.  Excellent data point thread.  I had not seen that yet.

Few k I am surpised they didn't give you a bit more love to be honest.  In future if you want that to go past 6500 it will take like 1k spend a month or something to get a few k increase.  Honestly for me it wasn't worth it.  I am an apple person, but pay everything cash, but the promo financing on the card is very nice.  Just use it what it is for on those 0 percent deals as you have other cards fidelity that likely is a better option on normal spend.  Just my 2 cents.  Ya there are people that get those 5k or whatever increase, but they are running thousands through it a month.  I use to get very frustated with said card as had it since launch, but then figured I had way better cards for my needs and just got rid of it.  The 0% is where the card shines for apple products imho and who knows buy a few more might get another 500 increase in three months or whatever the schedule is or possiibly more.  Four months isnt alot of time to judge someone off of either for some FI's.  Best of luck

Re: Apple CLI LOLZ

Agree... @Aim_High's posts were really insightful. As another member said, I'm surprised you didn't get a bit more as well. After four payments of the 2k purchase + regular spend, I'm assuming you got close to the 25-35% over the course of four months. If you do end up blasting the card with a ton of spend in the next few months and get a monster CLI please keep us posted.
