@bicboiOD wrote:Since I began my rebuild since last December my scores have gone up about 100 points across all 3, and I would say that this has been my biggest major approval since coming out of the sub-prime scores and hoping to hit the 700's club in the next few months or so!
Some DPs:
- Applied 01/24/21 → Denied (TU FICO9 Score: 572)
- Applied 02/01/21 → Denied (TU FICO9 Score: 618)
- I knew that what was causing my denial was the (unpaid) collections PRA that I was in the process of getting settled
On 02/24/21 I made my settlement payment for PRA and just saw on 03/08/21 that Transunion updated the PRA balance to $0 (settled for less than full) So, this morning I was honestly expecting a denial just to see what my TU FICO9 would be quoted since my FICO8 for TU is currently at 660 and I haven't pulled my 3B pull to see what my FICO9 would be since FICO9 weighs paid collections less.
Also, I am not sure if this was relevant but I tried doing the shopping cart trick in which I added a Mac mini with all the upgrades on the apple store and then tried to apply through there and that's when I got this!
(Note: I also tried doing the ACT with the previously stated denials so YMMV)
My AMEX Optima and Capital One Secured have not been reported on my CR yet so I'm not sure if that would've made a difference or not but I am very happy about the approval but I was wondering if anyone thinks I should wait and reapply once the PRA gets totally deleted (which hopefully is by the end of the month) and hope for higher starting limit?
I'm also trying to apply for a CFU, in which I would be 4/24 (without counting my AU account on my SO's CSP, so I think I might have to call recon if my denial is due to the 5/24 rule) if I do accept this offer so I'm not sure if you guys think going on a slight app spree would be okay.
EDIT/ Some additional DPs:
- After looking at offer details when accepting offer TU FICO9 score was 664 (with paid collections still on CR)
- Overall utilization at time of application was 10%
- Baddies at time of application:
- Unpaid chargeoff from auto loan with DOFD ~ Nov 2015
- AMEX C/O & WF C/O (2+ yrs old~)
Congratulations! 🎉 that's absolutely terrific. How sweet it is! 🥳🥳🥳 Thanks for citing all of your DP's, too, for those here who crave... the Apple 🍎! 🥳🥳🥳
Congrats on the approval. This is the next card I want to get when I switch back to apple!!!
Congrats on Apple approval!
