Hi everyone,
Apple card has been very strange with their application approvals. I applied with a 740 @ $20,000 income; rejected. Waited till I had 2 years of credit, similar score; accepted. Heard of kids in college applying a bunch of times and it took a $40,000 income to get accepted given their credit credentials. Are they accepting everyone with a fair-good credit score with 2+ years of history or are they income dependant? Not quite sure. I've applied many times in the past with a slightly lower income and rejected every time.
Let me know your experince. I'm waiting for the physical card in the mail now. Delayed in CA for some reason.
Also let me hear you limits! Only $1,500 for me.
Yes, the Apple Card is a strange credit issue algorithm unique to Goldman Sachs.
It the only digital wallet card app that is tied to only one person's iCloud account and a soft pull prior to acceptance.
I do like it that they only pulled from TransUnion and made the offer before they did a HP.
When it first rolled out to the public (after the celebrities got their first exclusives) Goldman Sachs was approving people in the the subprime credit area.
Now, I am hearing of issues with pending applications held up due to state ID and user identification.
Some states, the bank has access to it's data but others no due to some "enhanced" privacy features.
I have heard people who are more than qualified with stellar credit scores denied because they needed to upload driver's license/ID from certain states.
I don't carry a balance on the Apple Card so I don't have to pay interest, but the Apple Cash back money is applied each month lowering what I actually pay.
I use the Apple Card every day - it's my way of paying without contact on POS systems - just wave my iPhone and voila - purchase made.
Focused only on using the Apple Card for 2% (groceries) and 3% (Apple products, Apple subscriptions, T Mobile bills, etc).
When I first applied, I had a 660 score and got approved for $4K SL at 25%.
2 years later, I got an increase to $5500 CL at a reduced 19% rate, because credit score went to 720+.
Congratulations on your Apple Card approval!
The Apple Card was my first ever CC and I got approved with a $250 SL. I have been able to grow it to $6000 with SP CLIs every three months. My income at the time was $30K.
Congrats on the Apple Card approval…enjoy!
Congratulations on that new Apple Card approval!
Great work on stepping up your score! 660 to 720+ is massive!
Interestingly they didn't ask me for anthing in regards to verfication. But it seems that they have my card stuck in Compton CA now being 2 days past the expected delivery date. Weird.
With a 759 Fico they gave me 15.99% but barly an SL likely because of my income. Definitly not going to make any use of that interest rate since I'm looking to profit as much as possible utilizing my cards regularly. @4sallypat
Congratulations!
Informative post and replies! Congratulations on the Apple Card approval.
Congratulations on your approval!
