Wow.. I wonder what took so long for them to approve it?! Maybe you've been in the garden so long it took them a while to find you ![]()

Does Amex send your card in the regular mail?
Is Amex still reporting new cards with the MSD? My Platinum and Clear cards report a MSD of 1988.
They will report it with the 1988 date. Also, it will come USPS I believe for the BCP.
Congrats on your great CL!
Thanks!
So, Amex will automatically report my open date of 1988 and I don't need to do anything? I ask because I had some trouble getting two cards to report a MSD of 1988 back in 2008.
I had to contact them via the online chat and ask them to correct my "member since date" and they did it without a hitch.
Cool! I'll use the online chat if I have any problems. Thanks for the info.

Well they gave OP 50k total credit, between the two cards, so that much CL must go into another level of review.

Agreed! The underwriter(s) also had to take into account my Amex Platinum card.

Most interesting here is there was no FR or income verification. So the theory or general understanding that CLs over 25k will require a financial review isn't all true.
However the 850 across the board scores probably scared the analysts from doing anything intrusive given the quality of the cardmember.
Very worth noting.. My suspicion has always been that FR or income verification wasn't a matter of CL alone, but CL + other profile factors. And the other factors could include score, overall history length, time as a member, etc.

Amex only pulled my EX report.
