Re: Apply for the Freedom or something else?

Guessing 3000k-5k limit.. Good luck as well.. 200 free money and easy spend to get it.   Plus a decent card for dining, gas, groceries depending on the months.  Let us know the limit!Smiley Happy

Re: Apply for the Freedom or something else?

$2500, Bummer
Didn't expect $10k but wanted more than that
Have more than double that in the account I have with chase. Assuming asking for a higher initial limit when calling would result in another hard pull?
Current FICO Scores EQ 782,TU 755, EX 754

AMEX BCE $24k, Quicksilver $10k, Venture $13k, Sallie Mae Mastercard $8.3K Chase Freedom 5k, Discover IT $3.4k, Kohl's Charge $2.5k, Capital One Secured $801

CongrantsSmiley Happy $2500 is a good starter line. You can try but i would wait then go for CSP in few months. I doubt it will be another HP since they already did. lets us know what happen, if u do decide to call them!

Yes it's a hard pull . They don't do SP CLI unless it an auto increase.

Additional congrats. That is really good for chase and your income plus student status, I personally would take that, and not mess with it. They usually start at 500 to 600 in your situation, you did good.

+1 go for CSP in a few months and transfer limit if needed.  A CLI increase would be an additional HP, mise well get another card with guranteed 5k limit

Re: Apply for the Freedom or something else?

EDIT: Didn't see your approval before writing the post below but congrats! That's prime dude.

I'm an obvious outlier, but I was approved for the Freedom when I was 18 with no income or credit for a mere $200 limit. I make $80,000 a year now and asked for a CLI and now it's at an outstanding $400. Sorry, I just need to share that to show that I don't hate Chase or the Freedom card (okay maybe a little) when I say in MY experience, Chase has not been generous at all so I doubt you'd get a $10,000 limit. I think you can realistically get anything between $1,000 to $5,000.

Re: Apply for the Freedom or something else?

Well considering I only got approved for $1,500 with a much thicker file and a stated income of $78,000 (HHI is 110K) I guess so..lol
