Well, the form on USBank's account management website specifically says they have the right to pull a credit report, and USBank seems to like hard pulls for anything and everything in my experience.
In this case I waited for a couple of weeks after I noticed a regular soft-pull Account Review was performed, closest to my annual card anniversary (and after my successful CSP application). I was fully prepared and expecting a TU hard pull. In this case the CLI came back as approved so fast after I submiited the form it almost appeared to have been a pre-approval, or pre-arranged CLI-flag sitting from that most recent account review that was performed. When I say "so fast", there was literally NO TIME from when I clicked "OK" to the "Congratulations you've been approved..." message - no waiting for a second or two while the decisioning software engine made up it's mind on this one.
