Approval for Walmart Card...

Okay so back in April I app'd for a Walmart card- DENIED...paid off some stuff, a couple baddies fell off and my bankruptcy from 05 has finally fallen off as well, since I got approved for a $3K NFCU visa last week, i got the itch and applied to Walmart---APPROVED---$600 limit...now I've seen people post that they could call and ask for a CLI right away and get one...but i'm wondering if that is even possible? I have several sub-prime cards, NFCU will be my first REAL card with decent limit (everything else is under $600 limits) but I don't think NFCU is even showing on my report yet so dont' know if this would be worth the call...and also if i do call, what number do i use? Thanks for the advice!

You can always try, but when I tried all of my requests were denied. My girlfriend's Walmart card auto CLI'd on the 4th month from $300 to $600. My Paypal card also got a CLI on the 4th month.

Still waiting for a CLI on my Walmart Discover, but I've heard it takes 6 months to get a CLI due to Discover. Can someone confirm that?

The Wal/Discover has the same CLI policy as the store card. If you are eligible for an increase at 4 statements -not months- then you will receive an increase.

The best numbers to call for CLI is Credit Solutions

What is the number for credit solutions? I dont see it in the Backdoor # Thread.

Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
