I know this was from a few weeks ago, but if you're still thinking about it then you may want to try C1's pre-approval page on their site. CK's approval chances aren't based on the same criteria that C1 uses.

Congratz on your new journey. 

I did the same thing. I checked pre approval this (Venture Rewards) showed up. So, I submitted the application and was approved for $10,000 - chee woo. It also came with the sign on bonus for 100,000 miles once I spend $10,000 in 6 months. I guess I'll be using this card like crazy espcially during the holidays. Then, I noticed all 3 credit bureaus notified me of the new inquiry.
