@manateemark wrote:Yes, it was a soft pull and since it was my first card they only gave me a $250 SL and then only increased to $500. Perhaps that card will take years to ever be anything of substance in terms of limits. They made me wait 6-8 months for a FICO score to finally report before they would approve my CLI. I requested after 90 days or so and kept getting denied because of that.
What Amex with $250 SL. I never heard of that low limit for Amex.
That was the Apple Card with a $250 limit. Amex put me at $1000 and wouldn't approve a CLI for me, but would give me a Platinum. Makes no sense, but I'm curious to see how high they set my spending power.

Normally starting limits Amex charge cards for Green it is $1k. Gold $2k. Platinum $5k. With usage and spending patterns they would increase the limits over a period of time.
congrats on the platinum approval and thank you for your services.
keep up with the new credit bonuses the platinum has now.
congratulations on your success!
I know, I saw some of the 75-125k offers, but I'm just happier to have a card with a good limit where I can put my whole month's spend on without needing to make payments mid-month.
