I haven't applied for a credit card in about 3 years but I have been looking to getting better cards that are out there. After some research I thought I would try for the Amex BCE card. To my surprise I was approved for a SL $2000! I am very happy to be with Amex again since I had messed up back when I was in college in the late '90s. Fortunately, maturity has helped me to much more discipline with my credit.
Here are some details:
Income: 71K
FICO 8 -- EQ: 821, TU: 797, EX: 799
It appears that Amex pulled EX and TU (I had to unfreeze them first, lol)
I received the 15 months of 0% APR until May, 2024 and thereafter 18.49% and also received the $200 cash back (statement credit) after $2000 spent in 6 months (This appears to be the same I have seen from other posts)
Total aggregate limit: $52600 after including the new Amex card but only 1.2% utilization. I keep my utilization down to 1-3% on average after paying statement balances in full each month.
This is my first time posting so I hope I provided enough details to help others in their decision on getting this card. For now I'm not going to apply for any more CCs since I'm pretty conservative in applying for credit but I think once I have developed a good history with Amex I would like to get the gold card.
Congrats on your approval!
Very nice approval!
Congrats!!

First Congrats on the card and welcome to the forums! You posted plenty.
Second quick question am I reading this correctly that you deliberately keep a balance after paying off your cards? If so you dont have to do that and it doesn't help you build credit once the card(s) report your report is done with it for the month there is no advantage to keeping a small balance from month to month it simply costs you money.
You did good all around, great card, congratulations on your new Amex approval!
congrats on the Amex
Congratulations on your new BCE approval!

Congratulations. It's a good card. Love that 3% cash back on all online purchases.
A $2k limit is what they gave me too, when I got the card a few months ago
Congrats!
