I would probably amend that to any time after activation of second Amex card, after having first card for some period of time; at least from my experience.
I got my first Amex, Delta Gold, in August, and my second one, Hilton Aspire, earlier this month. About 2 days after the second statement cut, 10/19, on Delta, I was denied CLI ($1K > $3K). Just got the letter, aside from listing the usual baddies, one of the reasons was "short history with Amex."
I spent about $3.6k and PIF in those 60 days.
Congratulations!

Congrats for sure.
I am learning that the algos behind the decision making share no human component that would make sense to us. It's all zeroes and ones.Nonethless, the formula seems to work for what the business needs to stay profitable.
Congrats on your approvals 👍🏼

If you don't mind me asking, why the Holton Aspire? Do you travel much?
I was thinking the Surpass, but the additional Aspire benefits are great. Not sure If I could get my $$ worth out of it in the 3 or so trips I usually make. I *really* want lounge access, as I tend to get weird layovers and late/early arrival times.
