Approved for Chase United Explorer

I was approved for the Chase United Mileage Explorer card. Happy to be in with Chase, was previouslly declined for CSP a few months ago.

I got an instant approval and it said my CL is $2000. I thought this card was a Visa Sig with minimum $5k limit?

From the Offer Details section on Chase's website:

MILEAGEPLUS EXPLORER CARD:
You will first be considered for a Visa Signature card. If you do not qualify for the Visa Signature card, you will automatically be considered for a Visa Platinum. The Signature and Platinum cards have different credit availability and benefits/benefits levels. For pricing details, please seePricing & Terms. For benefits details, please read your credit card benefits materials which will be mailed after your account is established.

You may have been approved for a Visa Platinum.

Congrats!

No, that is only a rumor. Chase tries to give out the Visa Sig $5K amount as much as they can (since they make more money off it). But if your profile doesn't qualify then they'll give out the lower limits.

Im not sure yet who they pulled but I'm assuming it was probably EX. 

My my current scores are EX 650 EQ 699 TU 694 all from here. Discover TU is 686

my current Util is 34%. AAoA is 3 years. 

I also applied for the AMEX Delta today but was declined for that.

I have no idea where the $5k limit rumor started, but back when I got this card it was also for $2k non-sig.
