Approved for Discover IT with $150 bonus!

So, even though Equifax wasn't updating with the $0 Capital One balance as quick as I liked, I was 2/2 today (already announced in the garden thread I got a job offer, and after that post I received my e-mail accepting me into grad school!), and figured why not go 3/3? Smiley Wink

Approved for the Discover it! After receiving the "you're approved! you'll receiving your information in 5-7 business days" spiel, immediately went on chat to ask about my credit line. $9500, so not too shabby! Smiley Wink

Will likely count down for my 3-month CLI request, and treat this baby like gold! I now have each of the 4 major card networks in my wallet!

Some more information:

$150 bonus after $750 spend in 3 months

10.99% APR
EQ Pull

Pretty shiny Garnet colored card!

Hoping opening up this card and the HP won't bump me too far down credit score wise; looking to buy a new/pre-owned car the end of June! Also a possible student loan app is in the future (application usually opens up July 1st, federal loans like to pull EQ but are super easy to quality for anyways). Just couldn't pass up the IT with an application deadline of April 30th!

Since I will be having a good number of inquiries coming up this summer, I'm likely going to plant myself in the garden for two years, unless my scores skyrocket even with the hits. Absolute minimum is one year, if an astounding offer for a card I really want comes along Smiley Tongue

Welp, time for me to update my siggy Smiley Wink All the best, everyone!

Re: Approved for Discover IT with $150 bonus!

Thank you so so much everyone! I am absolutely thrilled over everything! Especially now that I'm a part of the Discover family!

I hope the card comes in sooner than I expect, since I am going home this weekend and hope to have it in my wallet before I go to NYC on Monday!
