I recently applied for the new Propel card. I was instantly approved but they did not tell me my starting credit limit or APR. Is this normal? I’ve been banking with Wells Fargo for over 15 years. I have an Everyday Checking account and a Way To Save savings account with them as well as a Cashwise Visa credit card with a 2K CL that I’ve had since 1/1/17. They pulled my Experian (FICO 777 with 4 inquiries in 2 years, but all more that a year old). I have an estimated 85K total yearly income and I am single, no kids, and no mortgage. I think I deserve a decent CL but I’m worried they will give me only $500 which would not be that useful to me. If they do, I plan to refuse the card. So my next question would be can I refuse the card by just not activating it or do I have to call them?
Update: I just found out that they’ve also just pulled my Equifax. My score there is 774 but I have a few more inquiries (7) in the last two years but all but 1 are over a year old and that one was when my mom added her to her Founders Frderal CU account in case of her death last February (she’s alive and well and doing fine now though I’m happy to report).
Thanks for the responses. I might give them a call if the card does not appear in my accounts info on the Weels Fargo website in the next couple of days. And I would be very happy with a 7K limit!
Congrats on your approval !!!!
Nice going with the instant approval! The minimum SL is $1500.
Congrats on the approval!
