Congrats! WF gets bad rap on here because everyone has wandering eyes for other products. If you only have two or three card it will work for you

Congrats! But as noted, it's an AmEx card but is ran by Wells Fargo. Nothing wrong with that, but you won't get things like 3xCLI and stuff.

Exactly my thoughts. I just went on my first app spree since rebuilding my credit. I was approved for a few good cards and plan to use these 3 cards a lot in the next few years until my next app spree. I got a Barclay Arival 2.5k, Chase south west RR 2k and Wells Fargo Propel 1.5k. I'm happy with my results and will keep up the good work and responsible spending. Hopefully in a couple years I can secure my "Bucket List" Cards like CSP, BCP and maybe a Citi thank you preferred or something like that. I'm very relationship oriented when it comes to banking. I would gladly use a card with maybe not so great rewards as long as I knew it meant something to the issuing bank. I personally work for a State Farm agent and know we take that into heavy consideration on any of our credit apps.

Congrats, WF is pretty conservative on their lending (I used to work for them), so getting in with them speaks well of your rebuilding efforts.

On a side note, their secured card "graduates" to a regular cc after about a year. So I wouldn't close it, just let become unsecured and it might grow too.

I have had the secured card for going on 2 years this July. I might just wait to see if it graduates.

Congrats on your approval, at one point i wanted it just for the hell of it (actually the design that i liked lol), anyway was denied... for no reason heh. I went to the bank closed all my accounts with them, pulled out over 50k from their bank. Banker came out to the car and asked if she could recon for me and leave the deposit lol I said too late (little temper tantrum moment). Anyway i never got the card, then a few months later send me a pre approved offer in the mail to the very same card. I never reapply lol. Did you get the black card or the white one?
