Discover is rewarding 5% back at amazon.com right now (July - September).
Can someone excuse my ignorance and give me a brief rundown of what Prime Day is? I'm an Amazon Prime member, but am unfamilar with Prime Day. Thanks.
Congrats, I tried my luck but was denied I'm stuck at 5k.

It is a day where Amazon puts out hundreds of special deals for its Prime members. The deals start at a certain time of day and only run for a number of hours.
Deals are limited so you have to act fast. You can go to your Prime page and look at the different catagories and see what time the special takes place.

I decided against it. I was on the line, but when I finally decided to do it,. I wanted to use the Amazon.com Visa $30 off of $150 offer. When I put the code in last night, it said it was expired!
So , I said FU to Amazon. DIDN'T ORDER A THING!
I felt good that I saved my credit from being abused!
But Congrats on your CLI!
Thanks.
I only spent $150 but found 4 items that were on my wish lists. I saved between 35% and 50% on each item. I did see several high priced items for great savings. Unfortunately they were wants instead of needs so I passed. Maybe next year. The big items on my lists never showed up on sale.
I too have run into the expired message on other sites. I don't say FU I just say no thanks. I think it was Walmart that pulled the same thing on my first order so I cancelled it.
