Like with my Aspiration Zero app last week, I read positive things about BCU from other posters here, but only today did I realize they are local to me. (I live in suburban Cook County, IL) I was a bit wary of taking a HP given how much big banks hate my profile, but decided to give it a go, and was instantly approved for $6k SL, $14.75% APR. Took HP on TU.

UPDATE: Consumer notice I received from BCU indicates they likely pulled TU F4 mortgage, which was 676 at time of applying. One of my most favorable scores, which explains the easy approval. I also work for a BCU partner employer.

Your score does matter do BCU especially if you have negative information they might only give you the launch secured until you establish 1 year of positive payment history. Plus OP states a rather large income than most have so that could also have factored.
