2. Will this large CL help me as far as future limits with other lenders are concered?  Meaning, i know one of of the reasons for a recent CC denial was the relativly low limits on my existing cards.  Does this large limit help?  Or because of what type of card it is, is it not heavily considered?

Some will say yes and others will say no. Lenders also take into consideration the payment history, length of time between new accounts, income, and anything else they like to determine a credit limit. I'd say wait a month or two to make sure it reports and ask for an increase on another card and see what happens. Having a high limit on one card doesn't always mean another will give it to you, but there is no harm in trying. Barclays has always been a hard for me. When you begin the request online with Citi, the form will either say they will pull a credit bureau or they won't, so you can check it to see which one you have.

Care Credit is essentially a store card, so it varies by lender and even by their particular cards.  Some consider store cards to set CLs and some don't.

My Cap One QS likes to slightly beat the CL for whatever my lowest major CC is at the time I've asked for CLIs.  I'm pretty sure that next time for QS, they'll offer me $1250, so they can slightly beat my Merrick CC.
