Hi, all!
I was recently approved for my first off-campus apartment and have wanted to apply for the Bilt card for a while. I decided to take a risk by applying and was stuck on loading screens for quite a bit until I was approved for $2,500 at 28.49% (a bit insulting but ultimately irrelevant).
Data points:
• I have no previous banking or credit relationships with Wells Fargo.
• Wells Fargo appears to have pulled Experian FICO 9, which was a 760 for me.
• I reported income of about $27,000.
• My DTI is 0.08%.
• I was 0/12, 1/24 before applying.
With this card finally secured, I'm back to gardening until I hit 800 with at least one of my scores.IMG_4240.jpeg

Congratulations on your Approval.

Congrats on your WF Bilt Card Approval.
Congratulations 🎉 🎉 🎉 on your Wells Fargo approval. I have been successful at requesting soft pull limit increases with Wells so you can grow your limit over time with no hard pulls. Woo Hoo ☺️
Congratulations enjoy it have fun.
Nice. Good job on the approval. Enjoy the Bilt.

Thank you! I was wondering about that, actually. I'd seen some people say CLI requests would be hard pulls and others say it would be soft. Is there a general rule on how frequently I can request a CLI? I'm used to 6 months with NFCU but they're also very generous with their lending and I have no point of reference for WF.

Congrats!
@LuminosaI have always requested increases every 6 months with Wells Fargo, starting with my first request exactly 6 months after I opened my card. Every request I have done has always been soft pull and they have told me a few times that I don't have to wait 6 months to request again, but I wait anyway in case that causes hard pulls. If you want to ensure a soft pull every time just freeze your reports like I do. I believe Wells will tell you if there is a actual hard pull involved with your increase request and certain representatives will say it's hard while others don't just FYI. The one time I was told it was a hard pull I hung up and called back and was told it was soft pull and got my increase. This is just my experience with them.
I hope that helps with your question and good luck with your new Wells card 😊🎇
