BJ's Capital One Approval 1 year post chapter 7

I burned Cap1 in my bankruptcy, and based on the forums, I'd been checking their preapproval since I hit 1 year post bk, and all they were offering was a secured card, which was not what I was interested in. They have been aggressively mailing me for the past 2 months, despite the preapproval showing nothing. Through my BJ's app, I got a preapproval for the BJ's card, and so went for it. I got an immediate 7-10 day message, and figured I was declined. A few hours later, I got a request for income verification, which I sent over. 2 days later, I unexpectedly got an email saying I was approved for $15,000.

Based on the BK7 discharge to 700 in 24 months thread here, I actually applied for (and was approved for) a few cards I got offers for a few months after discharge - with the criteria that they had rewards and no fees. I was also a little surprised, but really happy to see I could rebuild without cost right away.
