BOA CLI - Had to wait 1 Year

My only card or account with BOA was opened April 8, 2020.  I never saw the mysterious CLI link until today.  With everything that I have read about previous CLI eligibility from others, I had to wait exactly 1 year.  Many months ago I applied over the phone and confirmed it would be a SP.  Denied.  When the letter came, my denial reason was the account was open for less than 1 year.  I'm not sure if something changed with Covid and lenders tightening up.  I ended up getting just over a 2x CLI with a SP.  I'm happy about that.  Waiting a year for a CLI seems like an eternity.

When I got my first BofA card back in 2015, it was the $99 deposit for $500 limit partially secured cash rewards card. I had to wait 23 months before they graduated it and gave me a CLI. And as soon as I opened up a checking and started running money thru them (just paying all my bills), I got approved for 3 more cards in a one year window and my BofA exposure went from $1,500 to $60,000. Get ready for it -- the train is coming!

Nice. Be thankful you even see a link. Not only did Boa place me at the Kiddies 1 cc club only table, they took away my bt abilty ( spoon) and cli link ( fork)   for good. Only one thing i can do with a knife😄
