BOFA approved Komen card for $19,000.
Some info about my experience with BOFA. I have been a checking account customer for twenty years. I never have much in the account since I retired. My payroll check used to be direct deposited some years ago but not much goes in there now. I had horrible credit with scores of 3 to 400 hundred for many years. About October of 2018 I decided to get my head out of the sand and clean up my act. I applied for a secure BOFA card with the 99/500 offer and was approved. About six months later I applied for the Komen card and was denied. I then asked for a credit increase and the unsecuring of the 1-2-3 card. They unsecured the card and increased the limit to $1000 where it has been ever since. My scores were around the mid 600's across the bureaus when I started applying for credit cards. BOFA was the second of three cards that I got after I started my clean up. PFCU for $1000 and Discover secured for $200.
Fast forward to now. I applied again for the Komen card yesterday. It went to review. About two hours later I checked the app status and it showed approved. I also put the request for a balance transfer in when I applied for about $3500. I was hoping they didn't give me a SL limit that would be close to the transfer amount. No limit was shown so I waited until this morning and checked my accounts online and the card showed up online with a $19,000 SL. I was floored. They pulled Experian.
My profile now after about 16 months of cleaning up and rebuilding is:
EX 767
TU 772
EQ 748
No baddies. I cleaned them up.
I currently have:
US Bank $9000
NFCU Platinum $10,000
NFCU Flagship $25,000
Amazon $10,000
Belk MC $6000
USAA $6000
Amex ED $2000
USAA $500
Citi Double Cash $500
Discover $1500
Not to shabby for 17 months. I don't post much but I lurk around a lot. I have to be careful because reading all the good approvals makes me want to apply for something and I certainly don't need to do that but I do enjoy the success of other posters.
Congrats
