BRB garden....Old Navy and TJ Maxx Approval

Ok, so I should be gardening, but I slipped out for a sec to pick up Old Navy Visa $800 and TJ Maxx $200 ( are they serious?). I really would like to believe these are just temporary SLs.

I will be giving Credit Solutions a call tomorrow and hopefully get an increase. Overall, I'm a happy camper...ON gives ridiculous rewards and I'm always in there anyway shopping for myself and kids...so I'm excited.

Ok, headed back to my lush garden now : )

Congratulations on the new cards.

ON is one of my favorite stores and I started with a $200 store card. I got it up to $10,000 within six months (enough to buy clothes for my entire block) and realized after I made Navyist status that I had enough clothes for the next two years and I only used $600 in any given month (which I PIF). I reduced it to $5,000, but would have kept it at $10,000 for a Visa.

One thing that probably helped was that Synchrony likely (but not definitely) pulled TU, which is both your highest score and over 700.

No credit news is good credit news!

Its crazy because I never knew that ON offered a Visa card, so again I'm siked! Plus, it will come in handy for back to school uniforms etc.

$10k is alot of sweaters and jeans!

Re: BRB garden....Old Navy and TJ Maxx Approval

What is this mythical "Synchrony Luv"? I called to get my SL increased and I was denied. The rep was unable to verify my phone number or send me a verification text. I will get a letter explaining the reason for the denial.

Re: BRB garden....Old Navy and TJ Maxx Approval

I'm new to the forum, and I see this is an old post, but thought I'd reach out Smiley Happy I literally was just approved (via telephone) for the Old Navy store card with a low limit of $200. I have read all over that you can request CLIs but my question, is when? or how soon? I don't have my card yet, so should I wait for my card to arrive and create an online account to use the chat feature?

Re: BRB garden....Old Navy and TJ Maxx Approval

Welcome! And congratulations on your approval.

Your Old Navy CL may just be temporary. They report fairly quickly to the CRA's and I saw that I had a $1000 CL, before I even got the card. The day that I was approved, I called the number for an CLI, but was flatly denied. However, other people in the forums have gotten increases well beyond double or triple their original CL. I don't know Synchrony bank's rhyme or reason when it comes to that. But, its worth a try! Call them up.

Post an update when you do it.

Good luck !

Re: BRB garden....Old Navy and TJ Maxx Approval

I just applied for the Old Navy credit card and got the 7-10 days message. Does anyone have a number I can call to know the status of my application.
