Banana Republic UW denial

I was approved for a BR store card yesterday with a $300 limit. Today, I called the Underwriting Dept. and asked for 5k. The lady proceessed my request and came back and said no and I would be getting a letter stating why. I was expecting them to at least counter with something but that did not happen. Do I need to call back and try with someone else or just give up totally?

Congrats on the approval. If it was me I would wait for the letter before calling again to see if you can dispute some of the reasons for the CLI denial. Thanks for sharing.
