Bank of America Credit Limit Increase Question

After my card unsecured without a credit limit increase. I called an analyst and she said I would get a letter in the mail.

I was surprised because the I thought the analysts usually can get you instant decesions.

Has anyone ever gotten a letter from boa for a credit limit increase that was not a flat out denial?

letter = not approved.

Its the nicest way to  say not approved. She was most likely in a bad mood.

Should I call again or wait for the letter?

Re: Bank of America Credit Limit Increase Question

You can try calling again but it would be scary to get 2 hard pulls.  Tell them that you belive they already checked your credit but would really appreicate a CLI.

Just lie and tell them things like this:  "I want to use this credit card as my main card for all of my expenses" etc..  Just make them happy and I am sure they can raise it up a few thousand.

Do you have a good credit score?

1. Bank of America uses the same pull for 30 days.

2. I want them to say I'm not approved if that is the case, not I will get a letter... the whole point of calling directly into the analyst is to talk about the credit not get a stupid "letter in the mail response"

CALL BACK!

Re: Bank of America Credit Limit Increase Question

I agree as well, call back and ask another person,  it'll be the same TU pull they already pulled. BTW this happened to me and when I logged onto my account an hour later they raised my CL automatically. I requested 10k I think and they countered with 5k. I was super happy with that, I requested mine days after my secured card unsecured, so check you CL online, maybe you'll get lucky.
