I have been apprehensive about applying for Barclays Rewards after being denied on 12/2013. But recently when I checked the pre approval link I got the Congratulations message. Sat on it for awhile and then I got a preselected offer in the mail.
So last night I bit and pulled the trigger. Instant online approval for 1.4k!! YAY!!!
I called for a recon today to try and bump the CL up. I was told they would have to do another HP which I'm pretty sure is BS. If I can call for a recon for a denial without another HP within 30 days, then why an HP the next day for recon on the limit?
I called the regular customer service line. Maybe I should call a backdoor number instead?

I have one paid CA FTB tax lien from 11/2008 that drops off next November. Automated approvals don't seem to differentiate between paid and unpaid from what I've noticed.
I'll let y'all know what happens.
Congrats! When I got my Barclay Ring they pulled TU and denied. When I recon the denial they pulled EX and then approved for $1k. So they do pull more then one credit report. Mine was done seven days apart. Thanks for sharing.

Believe me it didn't make me happy. They didn't ask but they don't have to. At least I was approved. They must have done it because I was borderline to being approved.
Jeebus! They are already reporting only 24 hours after I got the card. That's cray cray. LOL.
